The Sales Event of The Finnish Painters 2019

The Sales Event is the biggest art event in Finland, organized every year in March at the Cable Factory in Helsinki. Over 600 painters take part in the exhibition, putting c. 1700 works on display.

The Sales Event is a unique chance to get an overview of Finnish contemporary painting and to experience a variety of artists who are currently active in the field. All kinds of art styles and techniques are exhibited at the event.

The abundance of works has made the event hugely popular: it is always easy to find interesting and touching paintings. The buyer can take the works home immediately upon purchase, and it is possible to pay in installments without interest.

Below, you can find pictures of the artworks I took on the spot. I chose the artworks that seemed the most innovative to me, with an idea, or simply they were well done.

„Sales Event” to największe wydarzenie artystyczne w Finlandii, organizowane co roku w marcu w fabryce kabli w Helsinkach. W wystawie bierze udział ponad 600 malarzy, wystawiając około 1700 prac.

„Sales Event” to wyjątkowa okazja, aby zapoznać się z fińskim współczesnym malarstwem i artystami, którzy są obecnie aktywni w tej dziedzinie. Podczas imprezy prezentowane są wszystkie rodzaje stylów i technik artystycznych.

Bogactwo prac sprawiło, że wydarzenie stało się niezwykle popularne: zawsze łatwo jest znaleźć interesujące i wzruszające obrazy. Kupujący może zabrać prace do domu natychmiast po zakupie i może płacić w ratach bez odsetek.

Poniżej znajdziesz zdjęcia dzieł, które zrobiłam na miejscu. Wybrałam obrazy, które wydawały mi się najbardziej innowacyjne, z pomysłem lub po prostu były dobrze wykonane.

Mam nadzieję, że zainspirują Was do zrobienia czegoś kreatywnego lub rozpoczęcia kolekcjonowania sztuki! Większość prac z wydarzenia jest zaprezentowana w galerii on-line: www.painters.fi/teoskuvia. I hope you like the above selection. These artworks really caught my attention, each of them is unique and would surely decorate many homes.

During this exhibition, I often asked myself where is the border between art and kitsch. Do you also ask yourself such questions when visiting a museum or an art gallery?

Mam nadzieję, że podoba Wam się powyższa selekcja. Te obrazy na prawdę przykuły moją uwagę, każdy z nich jest wyjątkowy i na pewno ozdobiłby niejeden dom.

Podczas całej wystawy, czesto zadawałam sobie pytanie gdzie jest granica pomiędzy sztuką a kiczem. Czy Wy również zadajecie sobie takie pytania, gdy odwiedzacie muzeum, czy galerię sztuki?  😉
