La guerra painting

‘La guerra’ means ‘war’ in Spanish language. Why did I choose this name?
The first thing that can be associated with this title is of course the war as an act of violence between nations, countries, etc.
However, delving deeper into ourselves, we can see that we are in our own individual war almost every day. It’s up to us to decide whether the fight will be won or lost.

“La guerra” oznacza “wojna” w języku hiszpańskim. Dlaczego wybrałam tą nazwę?
Pierwszą rzeczą, która może kojarzyć się z tym tytułem jest oczywiście wojna jako akt przemocy między narodami, państwami, itp.
Jednak, zagłębiając się w sobie, możemy zobaczyć, że jesteśmy w naszej własnej, indywidualnej wojnie prawie codziennie. Do nas należy decyzja, czy walka będzie wygrywa, czy przegrywa.

What inspired me?

Last days I was reading a book called ‘Installation Art’ where I read about the contemporary artist Vanessa Beecroft. Looking over her works on the internet I came across a very moving and courageous installations. One of them was VB61.
