Inspired by personal experience, the work explores how joy can emerge not as a constant state, but as something that exists alongside fatigue, change, and responsibility.

Rather than depicting joy as light or effortless, the piece approaches it as something layered – built from small, often unnoticed moments. It reflects a state of fullness that is both grounding and demanding, where emotional depth develops over time.

The textured surface carries this accumulation. Textile elements and layered materials create a tactile presence, suggesting that joy is not a fleeting emotion, but something shaped through lived experience – complex, resilient, and deeply human.

Subtle fluorescent glow reveals itself in low light, introducing a quiet shift that extends the work’s presence beyond daylight.
