Special painting for my best friend
Emigration is often associated with difficulty of access to the place where we grew up. My one-way trip takes 14-15 hours.
With this distance, it is very difficult to plan anything, take something with you. Last week I was visiting a very close person to me in Poland, to tell her of my absence in the important event, her wedding. I have to admit that it was a very emotional meeting and very difficult for me.
I wanted to give her something special. I remembered that once we were talking on Skype, she said she really likes the picture hanging on the wall behind me. This image is called “Post Yin Yang”. When painting it two years ago, the whole time I was thinking about the harmonious intertwining forces. I decided to paint for her special version. I am glad that the big painting will hang on the wall at the newlyweds house and I will have the little one. I wish them their life will be harmonious, full of love and happiness.
Emigracja często wiąże się z trudnością dostępu do miejsca gdzie się wychowaliśmy. Moja podróż w jedną stronę zajmuje 14-15 godzin. Poprzez ten dystans, bardzo trudno jest cokolwiek zaplanować, zabrać coś ze sobą.
W ostatnim tygodniu byłam odwiedzić bardzo bliską mi osobę w Polsce, aby poinformować ją o mojej nieobecności w jej ważnym wydarzeniu, ślubie. Musze przyznać, że było to bardzo emocjonalne spotkanie i bardzo dla mnie trudne.
Chciałam dać jej coś wyjątkowego. Pamiętałam, że jak raz rozmawiałyśmy na Skypie, powiedziała, że bardzo lubi obrazek wiszący za mną na ścianie. Ten obrazek nazywa się “Post Yin Yang”. Podczas malowania go dwa lata temu, cały czas myślałam o harmonijnie przeplatających się siłach. Postanowiłam namalować dla niej wersje specjalną. Cieszę się, że duży obraz zawiśnie u nowożeńców na ścianie, a ja będę miała swój mały.
Życzę im, aby ich życie było harmonijne, pełne miłości i szczęścia.
I wanted to show you something practical, which can be useful if you want to transport paintings and you do not have enough space.
On the prepared pictures, you can see how to re-stretch the image to the frame. The most important steps are:
- The frame must be at right angles at the corners, which can be supported by a tacker.
- Before applying the image, you have to wipe it with a damp sponge (behind). When the image will dry on the frame it smooths thanks to this operation.
Chciałam Wam pokazać coś praktycznego, co może się przydać jeżeli chcecie przewieźć obraz, a nie macie wystarczająco dużo miejsca.
Na przygotowanych zdjęciach, możecie zobaczyć jak ponownie naciągnąć obraz na ramę. Najważniejszymi wskazówkami są:
- Rama musi mieć kąty proste w narożnikach, które można wzmocnić za pomocą tackera.
- Przed naciągnięciem obrazu, trzeba go przetrzeć wilgotną gąbką (od tyłu). Gdy obraz wyschnie na ramie, wygładzi się dzięki temu zabiegowi.
