Local landscapes

Some of you might know that my dad is a painter. He has been painting his entire life using all kinds of media. Thanks to his free profession he could travel and settle in various parts of Europe. Starting from Germany, through Switzerland and Spain, he settled in Fuerteventura more than 20 years ago. Initially, he called this paradise a “prison”, as he was unable to see his family in Poland often. At this moment, Fuerteventura is his inseparable part, home and place where he feels best.

During my last visit, I went to his studio and photographed several of his artworks on which he portrayed the island.

Niektórzy z Was mogą wiedzieć, że mój tata jest artystą malarzem. Całe swoje życie malował, wykorzystując wszelakie media. Dzięki wolnemu zawodowi mógł podróżować i osiedlać się w różnych częściach Europy. Poczynając od Niemiec, poprzez Szwajcarię i Hiszpanię, osiadł na Fuerteventurze ponad 20 lat temu. Początkowo nazywał ten raj „więzieniem”, ponieważ nie mógł zbyt często widywać się ze swoją rodziną w Polsce. W tym momencie, Fuerteventura jest jego nieodłączną częścią, domem i miejscem, w którym czuje się najlepiej.

Podczas mojej ostatniej wizyty, odwiedziłam jego studio i sfotografowałam kilka prac, na których przedstawia swoją wyspę.
